Synergies and magic happen when you least expect it. I often find myself sitting next to someone at a dinner, an event or a workshop who is relevant to my needs, or a useful or opportune connection for someone within my network.

Today, I would like to introduce you to one of our 2020 YTM Partners, Sue Glasser (on the right in this photo) from Paperclip.

We  have been connected for many years and supported each other whilst building our businesses. I can confidently say, we have both benefited from our relationship in the four key categories I often discuss - supplier, client, referrer, friend and collaborators. We ran workshops together in the past Small Business Victoria Festival and frequently bounce ideas around together often.

When I met Sue, I soon learned, that she had a background in Marketing and Advertising and administration, and has a passion for stationery, and in fact the reason for getting into the organising business.

After running a number of her own successful businesses’ including an Advertising Consultancy, Swiss watch agency, VA business and now her organising business she has discovered how important organisation is and now works with individuals, teams, groups and organisations.

Meet Sue Glasser- expert on all things related to organisation and time management

Sue Glasser, is the founder of Paperclip Professional Organisers, a well-known Organising and Mindset mentor and expert on all things related to organisation and time management. Sue will be presenting the insight “How to Turn Goal Setting Into  Goal Getting” at our YTM event on 25th February.

Let me introduce you to Sue-

“What’s your business name and how did you come up with that?  How do you help your clients?”

Sue Glasser, Paperclip

My business is called, Paperclip Professional Organisers.

I was not always an organised person, my office was in an upheaval and I did not know what to do with all my paperwork and stationery tools I had cluttering up the space. I had a lot of stationery as it is a passion of mine.

When I decided I wanted to help people get more organised with their time and sort their paperwork out I decided to train up to be a professional organiser.

The night before I met up with my trainer MaryAnne Bennie I said to my family : “ Right, now that I am starting a new business I need to come up with a name,”

My son shouted out what about PaperClip – because you love stationery and paperclips keep things organised.  So that was it!

“Why” do you do what you do ? What made you start your own business?

After struggling with disorganisation myself  in the past, I  totally understands the challenges people face. I give permission to my clients to feel comfortable with owning their own disorganisation issues and helps them understand that clear goals and habits when put into practice, is in fact something you can learn like any other skill.

I believe that time is our most precious resource and I feel privileged to be able to help others get their time back so they can use it doing the things they love to do.

I learnt that simple systems like Paper Flow paired with the right tools allowed me to get organised and stay organised.  It was life changing.  I realised you don't have to be born with an "organising gene" to get organised. It is a life skill that can be learned like any other.

I enjoy showing my clients, how in small, simple steps they are able to take back control of their space, time and their "stuff" and ultimately their lives.

I am sure there are things that really give you a “buzz” about your business.  Could you share 2 or three things with us?”

  • I love workshops! I enjoy motivating people through activities and group discussion

  • I love helping people take responsibility for taking action to achieve their goals.

  • Feedback from clients who have taken on the systems and concepts I share and tell me the difference they have made for them in their lives

“As you know at Your Time Matters, we believe conversations,  connections and knowledge enrich lives, personally and professionally. We each can make an impact on the lives of  others .  What impact would  you like your business to have on the lives of others?”

As per the question above 😊 - I believe that time is our most precious resource and I feel privileged to be able to help others get their time back so they can use it doing the things they love to do.

This has also led onto focusing not only on organisation but working with my clients on mindset topics like goals, mindfulness, habits and happiness thereby helping them to work towards their dream life and live their best life every day.

In 3 years’ time, where would you like to see your business?”

I would like Paperclip and myself to be highly sort after in the field of time management.
