INSIGHT - "Collaboration and Teamwork -Paramount to Achieving Your Goals"
Meet Sara Sham's - a START foundation Grant recipient as she shares her story and experience and talks with Serpil Senelmis, Director of Written and Recorded.
MEET- SARA SHAMS
Sara was born with a rare congenital anomaly, known as tibial hemimelia, where the tibia and tibial side of the foot were entirely absent in both limbs. Both her fibula were present, however not weight bearing and thus not really useful.
Encouraged and supported by her family and friends, she was confidently walking on above knee prosthesis (without any aids) by the time she reached high school. Her prosthesis had given her the chance to lead a normal and happy life. However, they have limited her ability to participate in some physical activities and it’s been a challenge to maintain and improve her fitness on her everyday legs.
Employed in a Learning and Development role in Brisbane, Sara has a personal and professional understanding of how collaboration and teamwork are essential skills that are paramount to achieving your goals.
